Spinola Bay is always so alive and beautiful but with the majority of restaurants having Italian names and one feels more as though one is in Italy, not Malta. Shame really.

Another thing that annoys me is when a local restaurant feels it has to specify when it specialises in Maltese cuisine. You don't see this anywhere else in the world.

Elsewhere, in China for example, restaurants are not called Chinese restaurants; there they are normal local restaurants.

Over here, for such rare authenticity, one has to go to Mġarr, lest they make the same mistakes there too.
