Health Minister Joseph Cassar has appealed to the parents of a mystery child patient at Mater Dei Hospital to come forward and explain their case so that they can get the help they need.

Minister Cassar was answering a parliamentary question by Labour MP Silvio Parnis, who asked him to investigate the case of a three-month-old baby girl, of a Maltese mother and expatriate father, who had been taken to Mater Dei but not seen to. Mr Parnis noted the father had resided in Malta for 20 years.

Dr Cassar said the baby was not on the hospital’s Patient Administration System.
