The Malta Union of Teachers has written to the Education Minister expressing concerns by heads of state schools regarding the Klabb Sajf and Klabb 3-16.

The union published its letter in full in hope that serious and urgent steps would be taken to mitigate the situation.

Meanwhile MUT members not participating in such programmes should not be responsible for any consequences and ere directed not to answer telephones calls, emails or any other communication about these schemes outside their working hours or scholastic year.

The union insisted maintained that even though the idea for such initiatives was commendable, the reality of implementing such across-the-board services without proper investment would ultimately cost much more in the long run in terms of educational and infrastructure damage.
