Four museums are opening tomorrow night with several events being organised at the National Museum of Archaeology, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National War Museum and the Palace Armoury.

The museums will be open between 7 p.m. and midnight as Heritage Malta takes part in the European Night of Museum. The events will include a treasure hunt with prizes for winners.

Guided tours will be organised at 8 p.m. at the National Museum of Archaeology and the National War Museum and at 9 p.m. at the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace Armoury.

Hands-on and other educational activities will be taking place at the Museum of Archaeology throughout the event. At the National Museum of Fine Arts, visitors will be able to see people dressed in period costumes who will be walking through the museum and have their picture taken while posing in a life-size picture frame. Other activities include historical sword fighting outside the Palace Armoury.

Tickets for this event can be bought at the participating museums. The prices are €12 for a family of up to 5 people; €6 for individuals; €5 for senior citizen; and €5 per person for groups of up to 20.

Members of Heritage Malta can take part free of charge on presentation of their card.
