Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said this morning he was not satisfied with the situation regarding out of stock medicines and the government was working to rectify the matter.

Speaking after a visit to the Our Lady of Victory Church this morning with his wife Michelle, Dr Muscat insisted, however, that the situation was not alarming and urged people not to panic.

Dr Muscat was also asked about the Libyan oil procurement deal that followed a memorandum of understanding between the Maltese and Libyan governments this week.

This, he said, would be implemented once Libya increased its oil production to "acceptable levels".Utility bills would still decrease by March, he said.

Valletta's first church - Our Lady of Victory, is going through a restoration and conservation process sponsored by a number of organisations.

The project started two years ago and will be concluded by 2015 or 2016. It will cost €1.4 million.
