Labour leader Joseph Muscat today visited Maltese athletes in training in Marsa ahead of their participation in the Small Nations' Games in Cyprus.

He was greeted by the President of the Malta Olympic Committee, Mr Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco and Sports Director Mark Cutajar.

Dr Muscat chatted briefly with the athletes, and also made a surprise call on the players of the national rugby team who were also in training near by. He was presented with a team shirt to mark the occasion.

Dr Muscat was accompanied by Chris Agius, the PL spokesman on sports, and PL general secretary Jason Micallef, who was wearing a Manchester United shirt.
