Socialist and progressive parties around the European Union should focus on economic growth and provide families and businesses with certainty to improve their standard of living, Labour leader Joseph Muscat said when addressing the Congress of the European Socialists in Brussels.
He said that business, especially small and medium enterprises, was an essential partners to workers, students and pensioners for the creation of work.
The congress elected former Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanichev European Socialists leader.
PL spokesman George Vella was appointed member of the presidency of the European Socialists Party.
