The Malta Union of Bank Employees said this morning that it had registered a trade dispute with HSBC Bank Malta regarding the renewal of the collective agreement. The agreement expired on December 31.

"MUBE's major concerns centre on financials and work/life balance issues. This follows the bank's failure to respond to MUBE's final proposals," the union said.

It has requested the Director of Industrial and Employment Relations to mediate with the intention of settling the matter.
