This noon-day gun plaque at the Upper Barrakka Gardens is in dire need of a clean-up.

Reader Lawrence Galea, who took this photo, said it was disgusting that a plaque at such a prominent place that was visited by many tourists was in such a state.

The plaque says:

“Another project implemented with the support of the Malta Tourism Authority in collaboration with the Restoration Unit and Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna. A better tourism product for the benefit of all”.

Other plaques were also in a bad state, Dr Galea said.
