The Malta Tourism Authority has insisted with Viacom that the line-up for the Isle of MTV concert should be announced as early as possible to enable specific marketing campaigns.

There was criticism last year that the completed line-up was announced too late.

Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis told Nationalist MP Antoine Borg in reply to a parliamentary question that the concert this year, on July 7, had been moved from its usual late June date to better cater for late bookings by tourists.

Superstar DJ and Producer Martin Garrix has already been announced as one of the stars for this year's concert.
