The Malta Tourism Authority said today its visitmalta.com portal is now available in Chinese and Turkish.

The website is now available in 12 languages.

MTA CEO Paul Bugeja said the addition of the two languages addeda wider audience to the portal.

"One of our main goals is to reduce seasonality and hence we believe that with the addition of new languages on our portal, we are increasing our target audience from new and emerging markets who are keen to travel during the off-peak season. To further encourage tourists to visit the Maltese Islands throughout the year, our Islands offer a vast and varied calendar of events which cater to the tastes of different individuals”, Mr Bugeja said.
