Labour Party environment spokesman Leo Brincat has accepted an invitation to join the Circle of Mediterranean Parliamentarians for Sustainable Development (COMPSUD).

The focus of the association is the effective governance of natural resources. Members are obliged to endorse the principles of sustainable development in their initiatives.

COMPSUD was set up in the wake of the Johannesburg summit on sustainable development which emphasised the urgent need for partnership and dialogue between stakeholders and decision makers.
