Inter coach Jose Mourinho has been banned from the dugout for one game after being sent to the stands for arguing with officials during Sunday's 2-1 win at Cagliari.

The Italian league said that the outspoken Portuguese, who will miss tomorrow's home game with Napoli, would also have to pay a €15,000 fine.

There were more woes in store for Mourinho yesterday as midfielder Thiago Motta suffered a thigh muscle tear in Sunday's 2-1 win at Cagliari.

Inter did not speculate how long he would be sidelined but media reports said the player was set to miss at least a month.

Meanwhile, Roma were also fined €15,000 after supporters exploded a large number of firecrackers during Sunday's 3-1 home win over Fiorentina in protest at government plans to introduce electronic cards to track fan movements.
