Marco Cremona, one of the three team members of the Challenge 8000 who climbed Mount Everest last May, recently gave a presentation to the Rotary Club (Gozo) at the Kempinski San Lawrenz Hotel.

Mr Cremona (pictured) re-counted how the three team members had worked together professionally to reach their goal – an arduous and historic climb.

The Maltese team was instrumental in saving the life of a British woman climber who found herself in difficulty on their way down from the mountain.

The woman was, in fact, the youngest British woman to reach Mount Everest.

A sum of €325 was collected during the presentation to help street children in Kathmandu.
