A motorcyclist injured in a 2008 traffic accident was yesterday awarded over €22,000 in compensation after suffering a slight disability as a result of the crash.

Ronnie Pace was driving along Main Street in Mosta when he was hit by a car being driven by George Camilleri.

The court heard that Mr Camilleri had accepted responsibility for the accident though he submitted that Mr Pace had not suffered any permanent disability.

Mr Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco, sitting in the First Hall of the Civil Court, heard a medical expert declare that Mr Pace had suffered serious harm to his left leg, though surgery had been successful.

The expert concluded that Mr Pace had suffered a four per cent disability and the court awarded him €22,425.20 in damages.
