A man driving a vintage World War II motorcycle suffered a fractured leg yesterday when he was hit by a car which drove on.

The incident happened at about 4.30 p.m. at Mizieb, near Mellieha.

The victim, AFM soldier Louis Micallef, was driving a 1943 Matchless 3GL motor-cycle painted in wartime Malta camouflage. It was slightly damaged.
