A 39-year-old motorcyclist from Gżira is in a critical condition after crashing into a roundabout in the limits of Naxxar early yesterday morning.

Police said the incident took place at the area known as it-Telgħa t'Alla u Ommu as the motorcyclist was heading towards Naxxar.

He was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

A number of accidents have occurred at the roundabout, which is unlit.
