From gay rights to obesity issues; from pushy celebrity mum-cum-managers to hair protection and other health bites; from frivolous fashion to words of wisdom, Pink's July issue, which is out with The Times tomorrow, journeys through a myriad of subjects to hit and hold readers' attention.

InFocus offers candid, first-hand accounts of coming out of the closet and living with being gay in a society that may still have homophobic tendencies, which could lead to discrimination and harassment. It tackles the issue of homosexuality in the light of a new Swedish study, which shows that the brains of gay people are wired differently.

LifeStyle speaks to three mothers and daughters who are supporting each other in the battle against obesity, having realised that they have had to take drastic action to control an explosive and unhealthy state of affairs. Obesity is a reality that is particularly rampant in Malta and these mothers and daughters have experienced change and progress in their lives since they decided to tackle the issue head on.

In tomorrow's edition, readers can also go on a virtual visit to Budapest, stopping at InThePink to pick up some tips on how to get anywhere safe and sound.

The magazine also pays tribute to the escape route that is the book - a means of knowledge, growth and even mere relaxation - through its regular ReadingRoom and BookShelf section, which gathers the views of its contributors, all avid readers, who have found entertainment, food for thought and even solace in their choice publications.

But apart from the regulars, the July issue introduces a new feature, WomenOnWheels, which offers the fun and innovative female perspective of the cars on the market. Looking at what women want from their vehicle, it leaves out the boring, technical stuff and focuses on what really matters...

Pink is a monthly magazine, whose executive editors are The Times journalists Fiona Galea Debono and Ariadne Massa. It is published by Allied Newspapers Ltd, printed by Progress Press Ltd, produced by MediaMaker Ltd and designed by Helen Cassar Torreggiani and Joseph Schembri.
