Mosta cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win over Rabat at the Tedesco Stadium this afternoon.

The Blues took the lead on 28 minutes when they were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the area and Gian Marco Piccioni hit a firm curling drive that flew into the net.

Piccioni struck again two minutes into the second half when Mosta were awarded a debatable penalty when Shaun Gauci was harshly deemed to have handled the ball inside his own area. From the penalty, Piccioni drilled the ball past Azzopardi.

On 56 minutes Mosta were awarded a second penalty when Piccioni was bundled in the area by Ivan Carapic and Christian Fernandes beat Azzopardi with an audacious chip.

Mosta sealed the points with a fourth goal on 69 minutes when substitute Ricardo dashed into the area and picked the unmarked Martins who deviated the ball into the net.

Mosta striker Gian Marco Piccioni was voted as the BOV Player of the match.
