Leading Moroccan bank Banque Centrale Populaire Maroc has joined the Mediterranean Bank Network.

Selected for its excellent repute and high ranking, the bank was formally introduced at a recent Mediterranean Bank Network Business Meeting in Paris.

One of its country’s foremost banks, Banque Centrale Populaire Maroc has a large international network with subsidiary offices and branches in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Canada, Spain, Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, Denmark, SaudiArabia, Guinea, and the Central African Republic.

Mediterranean Bank Network is a non-profit banking organisation and strategic partnership between leading Mediterranean banks. Established in November 1996 to facilitate strategic collaboration between its members, the network on occasion also acts as a voice for the Euro-Mediterranean financial services industry and it has been consistently present at various international Euro-Med events.

Membership is exclusive to one bank per country; its local member, Bank of Valletta, is also a founding member.

Following a recent invitation by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, MBN chairman Catherine Tourkia addressed the fifth plenary session, hosted by Morocco.
