The number of students who came here to study English this year have gone up by 20 per cent compared to last year, Education Minister Louis Galea said.

Speaking during the inauguration of the new Education First (EF) premises in St Julians, he said this growth brings with it many positive aspects. These include more jobs, more income and more promotion for Malta as a tourist destination. Moreover, it continues to reinforce the island's reputation in offering high standards of education with excellent results.

The school, founded in Sweden in 1965, has been on the island for the past 15 years.
