After St Hubert’s Hunters open letter to the Education Minister yesterday complaining about ‘biased’ examination questions, it was today the hunters’ federation’s turn to write the minister a similar open letter.

The FKNK expressed concern at an “incessant, uninterrupted and unchecked social-hatred campaign of brainwashing school children and students" who it said were being taught to disrespect and disapprove of their parents.

It said that when the headmistress was contacted, she pointed out that the question referred to unsustainable hunting and trapping practices.

“We would like to assure the learned headmistress that we can read and interpret properly. We would have hoped that the question would have carried a positive element of hunting, trapping and conservation..."

The FKNK also appealed to the minister to investigate the incident and embark on a dialogue with the federation to evaluate its concerns, not only as hunters and trappers but also as parents.

It also asked the minister to reconsider the FKNK’s request to be integrated in the educational system in a manner that would enhance children’s way of thinking and that would expose hunting and trapping as useful tools for conservation.

The FKNK's letter can be read in the pdf link below.
