The total of foreign managers in the English Premier League has increased to 11 with most of them declaring that the championship is the best in the world.

Arsenal have stuck with French manager Arsene Wenger who has signed a new four-year contract.

The latest FA Cup triumph and Community Shield restored the fans’ faith in Wenger although, at times, they were sick of coming across the same boss who had not delivered a trophy for many years.

At Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho (Portuguese) is in his second spell at the club and will begin his third campaign with the 2014-15 Premier League championship crown tucked under his belt. The Blues also won the League Cup.

Mourinho and Wenger are two great antagonists of the sport but they’ve long been considered among the sharpest and brightest coaches in Europe.

Roberto Martinez (Spaniard) is working tirelessly to shake off the tag of a relegation saviour. Yet, in his first season at Goodison Park, he finished fifth and led Everton to Europe.

Claudio Ranieri (Italian) is making a return to English football after taking over at Leicester.

Former Chelsea boss Ranieri has been appointed Foxes’ manager on a three-year contract. He had been sacked in 2004 by Chelsea supremo Roman Abramovich.

Manuel Pellegrini (Chile) is being looked at as a failure after Manchester City failed to retain the title last season.

But criticism is harsh on Pellegrini who had led his team to the championship and League Cup the previous year.

In his second year at Manchester United, Louis van Gaal (Netherlands) has no margin for error.

This summer, Van Gaal seemed to have spent wisely in the transfer market to assemble a formidable squad and bolster United’s chances to reclaim the league title.

At St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton boss Ronald Koeman (Netherlands) will be working overtime to improve his credentials after another exodus of players.

The third Dutchman in the Premier League is Dick Advocaat who is at the helm of Sunderland.

Last season, Advocaat became a folk hero after saving the Black Cats from relegation.

Argentina’s Mauricio Pochettino is in his third year in the Premier League.

Pochettino will be changing plans at Tottenham to give the team the push the fans have long yearned for.

Watford’s Quique Sanchez Flores (Spain) is a new face to the English game along with West Ham boss Slaven Bilic (Croatia).

Sanchez Flores has learnt the ropes in Spain and earned himself a good reputation after winning silverware on a good number of occasions.

The Hammers opted for Bilic in the hope of turning their fortunes around.

Bilic was praised for his long-standing service to the national side and credited with successfully overseeing the introduction of young players.
