Dubai-based Emirates has just opened first and business class lounges at Sydney's Kingsford-Smith International Airport and at Perth Airport, in Australia.

In Sydney, the Emirates lounge caters for 160 guests and features a business centre with eight work stations and an extensive menu, consisting of hot and cold dishes, prepared by an on-site chef, and fine beverages.

The lounge at Perth Airport accommodates 106 guests with a business centre housing 12 work stations and a dining room.

The lounge facilities are available to Emirates' first and business class passengers and to Gold members of Skywards.

Emirates operates four flights weekly from Malta to Dubai with a stopover in Larnaca, Cyprus, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using A330-200 aircraft.

Thanks to an offer valid until the end of this month, Maltese business class travellers can benefit from specially reduced fares from Malta to destinations including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland, and Christchurch via Dubai.
