Motorists who suffered traffic jams because of the Msida and Gzira feasts are set for a repeat performance.

The police said today that Mriehel Bypass, the Marsa-Hamrun bypass and Regional Road between St Philip Hospital and Marsa bypass including the tunnels, will be closed on Saturday between 8.30pm and 11.30pm to let off fireworks for the feast in Sta Venera.

The police said motorists can use Psaila Street, St Joseph High Road and Parish Priest Mifsud streets in St Venera, Valley Road, Msida, Mdina Road, Mriehel, and Aldo Moro and Dcember 13 roads in Marsa.

Meanwhile, Transport Malta said fireworks will be let off from a barge moored in the middle of Balluta Bay between tomorrow and Sunday. Mariners having vessels moored in the middle of Balluta Bay were told to remove them immediately.

Mariners are not to enter Balluta Bay during the firework displays.
