Alfred Sant's inconsistency, confusion and bewilderment are beyond belief. When challenged, or rather when cornered, he improvises, dismantles and modifies his policies with no apparent trace of consultation with the rest of his "team". Only last week he announced that the reception class will not necessarily be applicable to private schools, creating inequality between public and private school-leavers.
Now at the eleventh hour he has decided to ditch his original proposal of introducing a repeater class. He is actually saying that the reception class will not affect the school-leaving age. I can't seem to follow! Can you?
