The Labour Party said today it had launched a public consultation on reform of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA).

The party said this process formed part of party leader Joseph Muscat's commitment to make the MLP the voice of the people. It also underlined his commitment for the party to give a positive contribution to the welfare of the country.

The party said comments, ideas and proposals on how MEPA should be reformed should be mailed to the party or posted on the website www.mlp.org.mt .

The government has made MEPA reform and the Prime Minister, as the minister responsible for the Authority, has been discussing the subject with professional and business organisations and NGOs.
