Mizzi Organisation have recently donated two airconditioners to Caritas Malta, which will be installed in two activity rooms at the Sant'Anna Rehabilitation Centre, Bahar ic-Caghaq. The funds were raised through a joint initiative by Mizzi Organisation and the Employee Charity Fund.

The two Haier airconditioners were presented by Mizzi Organisation, Group Financial Controller Hugh Mercieca to Caritas assistant director, Fr Alex Cordina, during the annual staff barbecue at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel a few weeks ago.

Mr Mercieca said that, "the sterling work being undertaken by Caritas Malta in its endeavour to help individuals rehabilitate from drug related problems is to be commended and supported by all." He continued by saying that "in fact our contribution is in line with this support to Caritas and other philanthropic organisations."

While thanking the board of directors and the employees of Mizzi Organisation for their contribution, Fr Cordina said "that the installation of the airconditioners in these two rooms, is not a luxury but a necessity since the core activity of the rehabilitation programmes are conducted in these rooms.

The programmes in themselves are extremely intensive and the installation of airconditioners in these rooms, would help relieve some of the summer heat."
