The funeral cortège of former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff yesterday reflected the life of the late prime minister and Labour leader, drawing the crowds in an outpouring of strong emotions.

The six-hour cortège started at Mater Dei Hospital and stopped at his home in Tarxien, the Three Cities which were his political stronghold, Labour Party headquarters and on to the Palace, the seat of Parliament where he sat for over 50 years.

The above slide-show and video captures the scenes.
