Transport Minister Austin Gatt has listed roads in the countryside which have a linking function and which will receive major patching by Transport Malta over the coming months.
He said inParliament that this year, works are expected to be completed at Triq l-Imqabba in Kirkop, Triq il-Konvoj ta' Santa Marija and Triq il-Qrendi in Mqabba, as well as part of Triq id-Durumblat in Mosta, Ta' l-Infett limits of Rabat and Triq l-Imgieret Qormi.
Other roads where works would be carried out in the future are Triq il-Fortizza and another part of Triq id-Durumblat in Mosta, Triq il-Gardiel in Fgura, the road from Qajjenza to Marsaxlokk, Triq iċ-Ċawsli in Żejtun, the road from Burmarrad to t'Alla u Ommu Hill, Triq ir-Ramla and Triq Santa Marija in Magħtab, the road from tal-Balal to Triq Dun Karm, Iklin and the road to Ibrag, Triq Panton, Lija and Triq il-Wardija in Wardija.
The minister said the works on these roads depended on available funding and priorities.
