I have just been reading Martin Scicluna’s ‘Pro-choice Irish’ contribution (May 30).

When I finished reading, I wondered who this man might be, making himself seem like a god expressing his mind on everything on earth without much juice.

He seems to imply that the Irish did the right thing in voting for abortion while those who oppose abortion are in the wrong.

I am also baffled when I see adverts promoting activities about violence against children, with the participation of the Office of the President, while also noting what the same office had to say about the IVF Bill, now being discussed in the House, in that the President has to abide by the advice of the Prime Minister or his representative and sign the decree for the Act of Parliament to become law.

Is there someone who can please enlighten me?
