The Malta Institute of Management is organising two seminars on Thursday at the Radisson SAS Baypoint, St Julians, discussing risk management between 8. 30 a.m. and 11 a.m. and internal audit between 5 p.m. and 7.15 p.m.
The Malta Institute of Management has highlighted the importance of risk management over the years and has delivered various activities in this respect.
Risk management is essential to organisations and should be an integral part of decision making.
The subject of internal auditing, designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a company's internal control system, is relatively new especially in Malta.
Perhaps the most familiar type of auditing is the administrative audit, or pre-audit, in which individual vouchers, invoices or other documents are reviewed for accuracy and proper authorisation before they are paid or entered in the books.
The seminars have been accredited with 1.5 hours of structured CPE and qualify for the attainment of professional competencies in terms of the MIA CPE Regulations.
A certificate of attendance will be awarded to the participants. The full programme, more information about this seminar and application forms are available at the MIM website www.maltamanagement.com (News and Events Section). The application process is done strictly online.
