Milan expect to recover Zlatan Ibrahimovic in time for tomorrow's match at Parma.

The Swedish striker sustained a minor groin injury in Wednesday's 1-1 Champions League draw at former club Ajax and is hoping to fight against the clock to play.

Ibrahimovic's absence would be a blow for coach Massimiliano Allegri considering the former Inter star has been pivotal for Milan in recent weeks.

He has found the back of the net in the Rossoneri's last three games, including last weekend's 1-0 win over Genoa.

He also struck the equaliser against Ajax in midweek to earn Milan a point.

"I am doing my best at the moment," said Ibrahimovic.

"I want to win, and this team is helping me a lot."

The good news for Milan is that Alexandre Pato is set to return to action this weekend.

The Brazilian striker has recovered from a thigh problem that kept him sidelined for three weeks.

Pato could partner Ronaldinho, who rested on Wednesday, in Milan's attack should Ibrahimovic fail to recover.

Milan head into the encounter just two points behind joint Serie A leaders Inter Milan and Lazio.

The Rossoneri will fancy their chances against a Parma side that has not won a game since their opening triumph over Brescia on August 29.

The Ducale club was held to a 1-1 draw at Lecce last time out.

However, former AC Milan striker Hernan Crespo has warned the Rossoneri to expect a battle tomorrow.

"We are aware that in order to get a positive result we will have to give 100%," he said.

"But to get a win at the Tardini stadium is not a walk in the park for any team. I hope we can repeat the result we achieved a few months ago."

Parma edged Milan 1-0 earlier this year, courtesy of a last-minute goal from Valeri Bojinov.
