Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is facing a defensive headache ahead of tonight’s trip south to play Napoli.

Thiago Silva, Gianluca Zambrotta, Ignazio Abate and Marek Jankulovski are all out, reducing Allegri’s options significantly.

But perhaps the most important absence will be that of Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho, who is plagued by a muscle problem.

But while he will have to juggle his playing resources, Allegri said there wouldn’t be an alteration to his 4-3-1-2 formation.

“I don’t think we’ll be trying something new in Naples,” he said. “But we could change some players, we have many missing and that’s mainly why we’ll change something.

“In defence (Daniele) Bonera will play right with (Luca) Antonini left, then (Alessandro) Nesta and either (Sokratis) Papastathopoulos or (Mario) Yepes.

“I still have doubts over whether to play Robinho or (Clarence) Seedorf.

“They’re two different players but both are able to bring something important to us.”
