AC Milan warmed up in style for Tuesday's Champions League tie against Tottenham by extending their lead at the top of Serie A to six points with an emphatic victory over Parma.
Clarence Seedorf put the Rossoneri ahead after eight minutes and Antonio Cassano added the second within 10 minutes.
Two goals from substitute Robinho in the space of five second-half minutes allowed Milan to take it easy for the last 25 minutes, having secured the three points they needed to open up a six-point cushion over Napoli at the summit.
Seedorf provided a warning of what was to come when he tested Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante after just 20 seconds.
The Dutch midfielder put Milan ahead in the 14th minute when he was put through on goal by an intelligent assist from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and he took the ball round Mirante to score his first league goal of the season.
Parma tried to make a fight of it with the lively Sebastian Giovinco and Antonio Candreva opening up the Milan defence. The latter's cross was fumbled slightly by Christian Abbiati, who recovered to pounce on the ball before Amauri could capitalise.
Cassano made it two with his first goal for Milan in the 17th minute.
He exchanged passes with Gennaro Gattuso before sliding the ball past Mirante into the far corner.
Another effort from Cassano, who is ineligible to face Tottenham in midweek having already played in the Champions League this season for his former club Sampdoria, was tipped over the crossbar as Milan threatened a third.
They had to wait until the hour mark before sealing the win thanks to Robinho, whose first touch of the ball after replacing Seedorf was to side-foot it past Mirante after Cassano's pass found him alone in the centre of the penalty area.
Robinho completed the scoring in the 65th minute when he was again picked out inside the area by Cassano and beat Mirante inside his near post.
Ibrahimovic and Gattuso were both removed by Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri with Spurs' visit to the San Siro in mind, and the Rossoneri took their foot off the pedal, playing down the clock for their 15th league win of the season.
