The immigrants' boat was escorted by a patrol boat after it was spotted near Filfla.

Another 88 migrants Somalis landing at Ghajn Tuffieha last Sunday and 52 Egyptian migrants arrived in the previous week.

Somalis form the biggest group of migrants in Malta. According to reports, members of the group that arrived last week said they had purposely come to Malta - as against arriving here by accident while on their way to Italy.
