Kasim Silla, a 28-year-old migrant from Mali resident at Hal Far tent village, has been handed a suspended jail term after he admitted in court to having assaulted and slightly injured three policemen, resisting arrest and assaulting and slightly injuring two other men.

The incidents happened on Thursday at Lion Street, Qormi.

The migrant was condemned to two years imprisonment suspended for four years.
