Michael Mifsud has moved back into contention for the Coventry City starting line-up, the Coventry Telegraph reported yesterday.

With Clinton Morrison still unsigned and Leon Best facing a month out due to injury, City's front-line options have been reduced.

Although City are still hoping that another club will make a serious move for the Maltese striker after his proposed move to Bristol City fell through at the last minute, Mifsud took his place at the club's official team photo-shoot this week.

"He is contracted to Coventry for the next 12 months and we pay his wages," club chairman Ray Ranson was quoted as saying.
