Kate Middleton’s parents could benefit from their daughter’s wedding to Prince William by selling street party paraphernalia to royal fans.

Party Pieces – a mail order business run by Michael and Carole Middleton – has told a potential customer it is planning to release some items later this month.

A web-user posted a question on the company’s official Facebook page stating her school in Sweden was hoping to stage a royal wedding day and if any “British themed products” were available.

The company replied: “We certainly will be doing some traditional street party bits and these will be available mid-late February – will keep you posted.”

Revellers are expected to host outdoor events across the country on the day of the royal wedding, April 29, which is a public holiday.

But the move by Party Pieces to supply items to monarchy fans may prompt criticisms.

In 1987, Miss Middleton’s parents founded their mail order business which sells children’s party paraphernalia ranging from balloons to fancy dress costumes.

Such was the success of the internet company that it made the couple into millionaires.

Kate used to work for her parents’ firm but left the business over the recent festive period in preparation for her life in the Royal Family.

The royal bride-to-be was featured on the Party Pieces website last March when she posted some light-hearted comments about her childhood.
