Malta International Airport is waiving landing fees on scheduled flights in winter for the third year in a row.
It said its purpose is to further stimulate traffic during the shoulder/winter months.
"The waiving of landing fees in winter, a time which is particularly difficult for airlines, helps to alleviate the airlines’ fixed costs when flying to and from Malta Airport. This is a measure through which the company shares the risk with the airlines by eliminating the fixed cost," MIA said. The airlines only pay fees applicable when seats are filled.
