A financial services company purporting to operate out of a St Julian's address is not registered in Malta and has no authority to offer any licensed services locally, the financial regulator has warned.
Falcon Financial Management, the MFSA has said, is not a tenant at the Dragonara Road address it lists as its address.
"The company is not a company registered in Malta nor is it an entity licenced or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any type of financial services which are required to be licenced or otherwise authorised under Maltese law," the MFSA said in its warning.
The company's website, www.falconfinancialmanagement.com, features various photos from across Malta and offers wealth management and tax advice. It lists banks such as Lloyds, Barclays, Credit Suisse, HSBC and ING among its "financial partners".
In its warning, the MFSA strongly advised investors to make sure firms they did business with were registered and authorised prior to entering into business with them.
