Malta FA Referees Instructor Alexander Arena will be in Andorra this weekend as referee observer to a team of officials at two national league matches.

Arena’s appointment forms part of a referee exchange programme that has been running over the past couple of years between the Refereeing Department within the Malta Football Association and their counterparts from the Andorra Football Federation.

As a matter of fact, two weeks ago Maltese Premier League officials Trustin Farrugia Cann, Duncan Sultana and Jurgen Spiteri were in charge of the Liga Nacional Champions Group match between UE Sant Julia and FC Lusitans in Andorra.

A week before, Andorra football federational officials, Ignasi Villamayor, Hugo Jourdan and Laudino Lopez, were in charge of the GFA Division One derby between SK Victoria Wanderers and Victoria Hotspurs at the Gozo Stadium.

On Sunday, Arena will first be on assignment for the league match at the Stadium Alaz between UE Sant Julia and FC Santa Coloma.

Later in the evening, he will keep scrutiny on the refereeing team in charge of the FC Ordino-Inter Club Escaldes match at the Stadium Aixovall.
