The Malta FA last night honoured its best performers for season 2007-08 during a social activity at its headquarters inside the Millennium Stand of the National Stadium. Marsaxlokk and Malta midfielder Kevin Sammut, named best player by dailies The Times, In-Nazzjon and The Malta Independent last week, received the most prestigious award yesterday as he was presented with the MFA Player of the Year trophy by MFA president Joe Mifsud. Sammut succeeds Valletta's Gilbert Agius as MFA Player of the Year.
