The Malta FA Protests Board last night deemed that Qormi's complaint against the 3-1 defeat to Floriana requires further investigations before a decision will be taken.

Qormi are contending that the Greens had fielded an ineligible player in striker Paolo Rogerio Da Silva. They are arguing that some of the signatures in the Brazilian's papers are not authentic and hence irregular.

After listening to the arguments of both parties, the Protests Board decided that Da Silva's documents should be analysed by a caligraphy expert, appointed by the MFA, to verify if the signatures are authentic or not.

The MFA board's final decision will be based on the findings of the forensic expert.

No date has been set for the next hearing.
