In the three-and-a-half years it has been set up the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee has helped in the acquisition of €16.5 millionfrom the EU for the implementation of projects by councils, NGOs and public entities, Minister Chris Said said this morning.

He was speaking at an information session at Xewkija, organised by Meusac with the help of the Local Government Department.

Councils benefitted from more than €11 million for 72 projects, NGOs carried out 29 projects with just under €3.9 million while public entities are carrying out eight projects with around €1.6 million.
