I think it's high time we start being refunded whenever we experience electricity and water cuts. Strictly speaking, whenever these utilities are suspended, for some reason consumers are saving on bills. But, on the other hand, they are still paying for the meter rent.

Now that we are also paying a much higher meter rent for both water and electricity, I find it is not fair that we keep doing so even for the time power and water supplies are suspended. We should be refunded proportionally, even if it a small amount, for the rent on meters. After all, we are all paying our bills down to the last cent and nothing is deducted. Now that we are paying much higher bills I expect more from both corporations.
