Meridian Enterprises Company Limited, agents for Hyundai in Malta, received the Hyundai Distributor's Award of Excellence in recognition of the company's outstanding performance and contribution in sales to Hyundai Motor Company.

Presented on Tuesday at the European Distributors convention in Frankfurt, the award recognises companies across Europe with top performance values.

"Meridian Enterprises is really honoured to receive this award," Francesca Mamo, managing director of Meridian Enterprises, said. "We remain committed to providing outstanding service and dedicated customer orientation towards our customers in the marketplace as we drive forward to strive and contribute towards Hyundai's goal of being among the top five automotive manufacturers in the world."

Vincent Sladden, general manager for the Automotive Division, who was also present for the award ceremony, commented: "Of course this was a great achievement for Meridian Enterprises, but what really fuels such achievements is great products and the attention dedicated to the customer by the whole team, from sales people at our showrooms to the marketing team and after-sales personnel at the service centre."

Hyundai Motor Company started these awards to pay tribute to the efforts of its distributors across Europe, which today are approaching 40.

The winning distributors are evaluated for their sales performance, showroom standards, service, staff and after-sales facilities that are now in line with the latest principles for automotive distributors, conforming to the European Union standards.
