The pending caseload at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority at the end of November stood at 4,557 with the authority deciding 507 applications and receiving 477 new ones..

During the month, the authority also processed 106 notifications of development, which did not require a formal application. A total 112 stop and enforcement notices were issued, 98 in Malta and 14 in Gozo.

In the same month, 55 enforcement cases were closed, 41 in Malta and 14 in Gozo. 34 were sanctioned by the issue of a sanctionable permit. Another 20 cases were resolved since owners decided to remove illegal development and comply with an enforcement notice. One case was withdrawn by the authority.
