A principal technical Officer who has been suspended on full pay by Mepa since October 2003 has in the meantime received €113,762.08 (net) from the Authority, the Prime Minister said today.

Dr Gonzi was replying to the third question on the case to be asked by Labour MP Carmelo Abela.

The employee was suspended after having been accused of committing criminal acts. His case is pending before the law courts.

The prime minister said the Authority is acting in terms of the collective agreement.
