The Malta Business Bureau will be organising the third in a series of business seminars entitled Business Meets MEP. Journalist Ruth Amaira is to interview MEP Louis Grech on the “Relaunch of the Single Market and what it means for Business”.

The event will address a number of issues related to some of the 50 proposals recently published by the European Commission in the Single Market Act.

Among the topics up for discussion, Mr Grech will be asked how the Single Market Act aims to remove obstacles within the single market and ensure better access for the benefit of businesses.

In addition, the seminar will also discuss how the report compiled by Mr Grech entitled “Delivering a Single Market for Consumers and Citizens” helped to shape the Commission’s proposals on the Single market Act and how EU institutions will be implementing actions related to the Act.

The event will be of interest to all businesses operating in Malta and Gozo in order to understand the impact of the new Single Market legislation on SMEs and the private sector.

Business representatives and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to personally voice their opinions and concerns with Mr Grech in an open forum featuring both a question and answer session and an open floor debate.

The seminar is to be held on December 2 at the Hotel Phoenicia from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Proceedings will be held in English. Further information can be obtained by logging on to www.mbb.org.mt, by calling 2125 1719 or by sending an e-mail on info@mbb.org.mt
